A recent RIBSA free coaching day was held in the Edenderry Snooker Club in Offaly on the 15th of February and attracted a large number of local players to receive coaching from PJ Nolan the RIBSA Irish National Coach.
RIBSA are offering one free coaching day to all affiliated clubs. Any club wishing to book a day should contact Paula in the office.
Local players Jerome Skelly, Patrick Tyrell, Johnny Sheridan, Ed Kearney, Pauric Sievin, Cian Doyle, Sean Doyle, Joseph O Neill, Shane Menton, Matthew Waters, all received coaching on the day, and again PJ was impressed with talent in the Edenderry club.
PJ was delighted to hear that two senior members would like to complete the upcoming RIBSA coaching course to become a qualified club coach and having a club coach is the best way for a club to improve the standard of snooker in their club.
Anyone interested in becoming a RIBSA club coach should contact Paula in the office.
All players received a training manual and a coaching booklet on improving your game, and players can now download this training booklet from the web site
in the coaching section.
Ger Murray Vice Chairman Of RIBSA and chairman of the Edenderry Snooker Club was delighted with the coaching day and the players will now have the practice routines to improve.
He also said all that all his members enjoyed the day.
