Top International Player sets up training camp in Ireland

Posted by The Administrator on Mar 27, 2008

Since the return of PJ Nolan from Qatar to Ireland in February our association have had a lot of enquires about the possibilities of overseas players coming to Ireland to receive coaching and training from PJ. This shows the reputation that PJ has on the world stage and this week Aditya Mehta who is one of the leading cueists from India has just confirmed he will attend a training camp in Carlow from the 15th – 28th April

The last time Aditya played in Ireland, he reached the Q-Final of the 2004 world under 21s and beat a lot of top players on route including a fantastic win over Mark Allen.

PJ has worked with Aditya over the years while he was the Qatar national coach and PJ said this week that Aditya has tremendous talent and works very hard on his game, and in the past few months has found the belief and confidence to be regarded as the best player in India at the moment . Aditya has already been selected to represent India in the2008 IBSF world championships in Austria in November.

PJ is very excited about working with Aditya in preparing him for the Asian championship were he will be up against the top Chinese, UAE, Malaysian, and Hong Kong and Gulf players, but PJ believes that Aditya has the game to win the title.

He will receive daily training from PJ in the morning and practice in the afternoon, and play a match in the evening during his camp. A strict schedule of training and matches against top Irish players has been organized by PJ and then Aditya then will fly direct to Dubai to play in the Asian championship

Any International player wishing to play Aditya in Carlow during his stay should contact PJ to arrange a match – 086 8634507
