Intermediate No.2

Posted by The Administrator on Oct 29, 2007

Nenagh's Mark Walsh came out on top in the 2nd Intermediate Event of the season in Caesars Palace on Sunday. 69 players entered the event in which we saw most of the top seeds exit early and it was the New Institute player who held his nerve to come back from 2-0 down in the final against Philip Browne to take the title 3-2. The results should shake up the rankings somewhat before the next installment of the series which will be in Letterkenny over the first weekend in December. The event could be run as a group stage event on the Saturday with the Last 16 to final on the Sunday. More details to follow soon regarding this.

Quarter Finals
Mark Walsh  3-0 Darragh McDonagh
Colvin O'Brien 3-0 Anthony Cronin
Philip Browne 3-2 Ray Power
Joe Corrigan 3-2 Mike Howley
Semi Finals
Mark Walsh 3-2 Colvin O'Brien
Philip Browne  3-2 Joe Corrigan
Final
Mark Walsh 3-2 Philip Browne
High Break  - 76 Colvin O'Brien
