Nenagh's Tom Hogan
finished off his perfect undefeated
season in the Under-14 series by
defeating Josh Boileau 3-1 in the
final of the Irish Under-14 season
in Carlow on Sunday. Tom who's big
brother David helped Ireland to the
European Team Championships just 24
hours earlier never looked like
losing throughout the day although
Josh put it up to him in the final.
We had 35 entries
overall and played the event in 8
groups with the top two from each
group progressing. None of the top
four ranked players had any
problems progressing to the
knockouts and lined up as usual in
the semi finals with Tom defeating
12 year old Ross Doyle 2-1 while
Josh overcame Glen Doyle in the
other semi albeit 2-1.
The final started
well for Tom going 2-0 ahead but
Josh did pull one back before Tom finished off the match to win 3-1
and lift the cup and the No.1
shield for the season. View Quarter Final - Hogan v Tobin Frame 1
