RIBSA Masters

Posted by The Administrator on Sep 2, 2007

Waterford's Jason Carlin captured the RIBSA Masters title on Saturday in Carlow beating Dublin's Gary Stewart in the final. With the top 16 in the country missing the event for various reasons there was always going to be a first time winner of what is essentially a national senior title. However Carlin's win surprised everyone as the likes of Marty Hayden, Clinton Franey and Kevin McMahon failed to capitalize. Jason finished first in his group after his six matches and then beat Kevin McMahon and Philip Browne to reach the final. The final saw him face Stewart who had seen off Marty Hayden in the semi  final and Carlin ran out a 3-1 winner in the final to take his first national title. View Scores
