Vincent Muldoon won his first senior ranking event this Sunday beating Limerick's John Torpey 5-3 in the final in Carlow. Muldoon won the Irish Championships last year but this was his first normal ranking event to win proving he's not a one hit wonder and the win now puts him squarely back in the race for the No.1 spot just behind David Hogan who remains No.1 after reaching the semi finals. Muldoon also knocked in the highest break of the event with a superb 127 in the third frame.
