Caesars Palace Snooker Club hosted the second County Senior event of the season and with a strong field of 34 competition was fierce through out the day. Many of the top players in the county failed to
progress to the latter stages with both Hughie O'Donnell, Kevin Monroe defeated by Garry Monroe. Club Manager Benny Fahy was playing solid snooker in the early rounds comfortably beating John Keane and Barry Loughnane with a
3-1 score line to progress to the last four. Martin Divilly who kindly sponsored the tournament took on Stephen Killoran in the other semi final, with Divilly comfortably advancing 3-0 while Benny Fahy accounted for Garry
with a comprehensive 3-1 victory to set up a final with Martin Divilly. Fahy took the opening frame with a 39 break and tight safety play but Divilly responded with a 48 in the second to tie up the match. Fahy upped his game
in the third and fourth frame to comfortably see of the challenge of his opponent to deservedly take his first county title and head the rankings as no.1 in the county.
