Latest news from Killarney at the Players Tour Championship 8.10pm Friday 21st of October

Xiao Guodong sends the 'Rocket' Flying in Round Two of the main event at the Players Tour Championship in Killarney.

Guodong beat Ronnie O'Sullivan by 4 frames to 1 and only for a slight miss in frame number 5, the Chinese star could have had a 147 after already sinking 10 reds and 10 blacks.

It was a great day in so many ways today for the Asian players today, because early this morning James Wattana saw off Mark Williams in impressive fashion with a 4 – 1 victory.

It was a day where World Champions fell as Stephen Hendry was next to go losing Dechawat Poomjaeng by 4 frames to 1.

Stephen Maguire has played well today too, beating Ryan Cronin one of the few remaining amateurs earlier, defeating the Cork man by 4 frames to 2, then repeated that scoreline in round 2 against Dominic Dale.

Neil Robertson had an entertaining match with the 'Tornado' Tony Drago, finally winning out by 4 frames to 1 and World Champion John Higgins was in great shape and has won two matches today, a first round win against Ian Burns 4 -1 and a 4 – 2 win over Nigel Bond

Northern Ireland's Mark Allen is in sparkling form winning his first two matches without dropping a frame and already 2 frames up against David Gilbert in his third match as of 8.03pm this evening, so the former Fountain Club Man is in fantastic shape and looks like he should progress through to Sunday's last 16 here at the PTC.

Saturday sees the likes of White, Davis, Doherty, Trump and Dott cue it up amongst a glittering line up here in Killarney
