Intermediate No.1 Ivy Rooms

The first south east Intermediate took place today in the Ivy Rooms and although the entry was smaller than usual most of last years top players were all involved. It was Waterford’s Ray Power however who took home the first prize after beating club mate Richie Flynn 3-1 in the final.

Ray started the day with a good 3-1 win over Carlow’s Karl Fitzpatrick in the first round and followed that up with a 3-2 win over Benny O’Brien from Kilkenny to reach the semi finals. The semi saw him defeat Edenderry’s Patrick English 3-1 to reach the final to face Richie Flynn.

Richie had seen off Adam Nolan and Dylan Scully to reach the semi finals where he had a great 3-2 victory over Andy Yeates. The next south east Intermediate will take place in Newbridge on the 15th of October.
